INSURANCE
My practice is private pay only and I do not accept insurance. The benefits to private pay are numerous, with the primary benefits being a greater level of privacy and control over your treatment. When a therapy session is billed through insurance, the insurance company often requires detailed documentation about your mental health including a diagnosis and updates regarding your progress. Some clients I work with do not meet criteria for a mental health diagnosis and some would prefer to have the details of their mental health treatment separate from their insurance/medical record. Additionally, insurance companies often limit the number of sessions they will pay for and restrict the therapeutic techniques which can be utilized during the treatment process.
If you wish to involve insurance, I am considered an Out of Network (OON) provider. I am able to provide you with a monthly Superbill which is a receipt for the payments you have made for therapy sessions. You may be able to submit this document to your insurance company for partial reimbursement of therapy services. This typically applies to PPO insurances. Please contact your insurance company directly for information regarding your eligibility and reimbursement rates. Please be aware that a mental health diagnosis is required to be provided to your insurance company for reimbursement if you utilize this option.

SESSION DISCOUNTS
I do not offer a sliding scale, however, when requested, session discounts may be provisioned on a case-by-case basis and will be discussed prior to treatment. The provision will be agreed upon between client and therapist in writing. Discounted rates are a the discretion of the therapist and may be withdrawn at any time.
PAYMENT
I accept cash, checks, and credit /debit cards. I also accept payments through FSA or HSA plans. Payment must be made at the time of service. A non-refundable deposit of $300 is required to reserve an EMDR-intensive and full payment is due toe 24 hours before the intensive.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Because the appointment time is reserved for you, if you must cancel your appointment, it is important for you to do so at least 24 hours prior to the appointment time. Each client is given one excused late cancellation; additional late cancellations are subject to half the fee of the session.
